Cooper has been a full time PGA golf instructor since 1990. He is a PGA Lifetime Member with a hard earned PGA Specialty Certification in Instruction. He is also a Positive Coaching Alliance Member, a certified US Kids Golf Coach, and certified at Level 1 by the Titleist Performance Institute. He also reached the status of Golf Stroke Engineer Master within the Golfing Machine Authorized Instructor program which is based on Homer Kelley's book, The Golfing Machine. Of all of his professional accomplishments he is most proud of being voted by his peers as the 2000 North Florida Section Northern Chapter PGA Teacher of the Year.

Cooper has helped thousands of golfers of all ages and abilities including tour players, club pros, juniors, seniors, women, and disabled golfers by insisting on the few simple fundamentals that all golfers must possess to score well. He considers the teaching careers of Harry Vardon, Ernest Jones, Tommy Armour,  "Wild Bill" Melhorn, John Jacobs, Claude Harmon,  Harvey Penick, Homer Kelley, and his own coach, Tom Tomasello as the dominant influences on his teaching philosophy and methodology.

Cooper was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and is a fifth generation Jacksonville native. He is happily married to Anne Morollo and cannot put into words the joy he has experienced in helping to raise his three stepchildren Louise, Grace, and Avery.

This website and Cooper's career is dedicated to Harry Vardon, "The Father of Modern Golf".
